I joined Laura’s Spaceholder Training this year, and so far, it has been absolutely magical. I’ve learned to be in conversation with nature and truly appreciate the elements around me. I now see the world in a completely different way, which I deeply appreciate and love, and I’m very grateful for that. I’ve also gained the confidence to hold space—not just doing random meditations here and there. I fully step into the room, prepare, call in the medicine wheel, center myself, Reiki the space, and balance the energies before starting a session. I now know how to hold people during sessions if they encounter challenges, and I’ve done this several times. I feel very confident in continuing to do so in the future, and I am immensely grateful for all that I’ve learned so far.

I gave myself permission to explore my own medicine safely within the group.

Before the training, I didn’t feel ready to share many parts of myself — I knew I had changed, but I couldn’t yet articulate what that meant.Through the space held in this training, I was able to explore, express, and ultimately embody all that I am.

In the past few weeks, I’ve realised that the ancient wisdoms I’ve been drawn to — whether from Egypt, Peru, the Andes, or my own Māori lineage — are not separate. They are all part of me. I no longer feel the need to define or compartmentalise them. Before, I felt I had to navigate between worlds, sometimes suppressing a part of myself to avoid judgment.

Now, I feel at peace — whole, connected, and in harmony with all the wisdom that flows through me.This training supported me from feeling anxious about how to hold space or ceremony ‘like Laura’ to confidently holding space in my own unique way — effortlessly and authentically.

Since I joined the Spaceholder Training, I feel so much more connected to my spirit guides and to the Earth. Spirits, like the fairies, are appearing all around me. Whenever I work with herbs, flowers, or water, I can feel them as if they are right there in the room with me. I’m also much more connected to my ancestors—it feels like a dance with everyone involved.

Through this training, I finally learned what energy really is and how it moves through me. I began to see my sensitivity not as a weakness, but as a blessing. Yes, it can drain me at times, but it is also my gift — a deeper awareness of myself and others. Instead of feeling sad about being different, I’ve learned to embrace it.

I now adjust my routines, my mindset, and my practices to support myself. I’ve discovered how to respond instead of react, how to work with my sensitivity, and how to respect my own boundaries. This journey has also opened me to shadow work — seeing my own shadows more clearly, and understanding that when I notice the shadows in others, it’s not mine to carry. Everyone must walk their own path and make their own changes. With this awareness, I’ve learned to treat myself with compassion, to listen to my inner voice every day, and to respect myself more deeply. Now I can set proper boundaries in my relationships.

I can have empathy and compassion without being drained, because I’ve learned to listen without taking everything into myself. My inner noises have reduced a lot, and I can clearly distinguish between my energy and others’. I’ve also discovered daily routines that really work for me — grounding practices, mindfulness, cleansing rituals with sacred smoke, and connecting with nature. Most importantly, I’ve learned that rest is non-negotiable for me, and by honoring that, I stay stronger and more balanced. Even in simple day-to-day walking and routines, I bring mindfulness, and when I notice myself losing energy, I can call myself back home.

One of my favorite parts of the training was learning about energy shielding. It has given me practical tools to protect myself and still stay open with compassion. Everyone’s journey is different, but I would encourage anyone to join this training if they feel ready to walk a new path and embrace transformation.

What an experience it has been !

Learning about the medicine wheel, elements, the four cardinal directions and nature's deep role in the larger picture and lastly befriending cacao and holding ceremony with her - Opened my heart in ways I didn’t expect.

All of the above has given me a deeper sense of connection, balance, and trust in my path.

As a holistic wellness coach and healer, this training has not only enriched my own practice but has also taught me new ways to support and hold space for others. The teachings were shared with such depth, clarity, and wisdom by Laura, a gifted teacher, and I feel honored to have received them.

What an enriching learning experience! I'm so glad I joined Laura's Ceremonialist Training. In fact, I look forward to participating in her next modules to grow my knowledge further. Not only did I learn alot about Andean traditions, the Medicine Wheel, holding sacred space, and communing spiritually with shamanic elements to name a few topics, but it changed the way I approach life and my spiritual beliefs. This training exposed me to practices and ancient wisdom that expanded my knowledge in dynamic ways. Laura cares deeply about the lineage and traditions within these practices. She truly embodies what she teaches and is passionate about sharing this wisdom. Each module had supportive resources that ranged from a beautiful, detailed handbook to videos and in-person sessions lovingly created by Laura. She also used a variety of educational approaches to help us absorb the material and live it, not just repeat what we had learned. I looked forward to each session and went home with many new ideas. Although I have attended many, many circles over the years, I entered the course curious, but vague about what it meant to truly hold sacred space. I left with a deeper understanding and desire to learn more. I absolutely recommend this mentorship for anyone who wants to explore these areas. I've also experienced a profound shift in my spiritual understanding and ability to flow more easily through life. I really enjoyed the cacao facilitator training with Laura. We learnt so much about cacao and all the spiritual practices around it. Over the duration of the program, we also built a tight cacao community, and the bonds will stay with us forever. Thank you Laura! Thank you IxCacao!

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to attend the ceremonial facilitator training with Laura.
