The Medicine Wheel
A Map for Modern Life
Self-led online course
Welcome to the Introductory Course on the Medicine Wheel
The Medicine Wheel is more than a symbol — it’s a map of life, a mirror of nature’s cycles, and a pathway back to wholeness.
Across cultures and time, it has guided seekers to understand the interconnectedness of all things — body, mind, spirit, and earth.
In this self-led journey, you’ll learn to walk with the Medicine Wheel as a living ally — one that helps you find balance, healing, and clarity through every season of life.
This is an invitation to pause, listen, and remember the sacred rhythm that’s always been within you.
What You’ll Explore
Through video lessons, guided reflections, and personal practices, you’ll journey through the four directions — East, South, West, and North — each one offering its own teachings and medicine.
You’ll learn:
🌅 East — Beginnings, vision, inspiration, and illumination
🔥 South — Growth, passion, embodiment, and emotional wisdom
🌊 West — Healing, shadow work, and transformation
🌌 North — Stillness, cosmic wisdom, and spiritual alignment
Along the way, you’ll discover how to:
Work with the elements, animal guardians, and cycles of nature
Build your personal relationship with each direction
Use the wheel as a tool for reflection, healing, and spiritual practice
Integrate the wisdom of the wheel into everyday life

Frequently asked Questions
-
You can complete it in your own time. Most people take 4–6 weeks, spending about a week with each direction.
It depends how much time you spend on the contemplations and integrations. The videos are kept short for ease of use.
-
No prior experience is needed. You may wish to create a small altar or sacred space to anchor your practice, but this is completely optional.
-
The teachings draw inspiration from cross-cultural understandings of the Medicine Wheel — particularly from earth-based, animist, and Andean cosmologies — and are shared with deep respect and reverence.
The course invites you to develop your own authentic relationship with the directions, the elements, and the land where you live.
-
To a small extent— this course lays a foundation for those who wish to facilitate or hold sacred space. If you feel called to go deeper into facilitation, you may wish to explore The Spaceholder Training as your next step.
