Are we celebrating a winter or summer solstice?
Singapore, which sits at 1° north, we have a summer solstice by a marginal 9 minutes
On the longest day of the year, the June solstice, Singapore receives 12 hours and 12 minutes of sunshine.
On the shortest day, the December solstice, it receives 12 hours and 3 minutes of sunshine.
In Latin, solstice is made of two words: sol– meaning “the sun” and sistere meaning “to make stand.”
Solstice is one the most powerful points of the year as the axis of the Earth pauses, shifts and moves in the opposite direction. For three days around the solstice points we experience the power of the standstill point and the shift of direction.
The sun standing still is a powerful metaphor for the energy available to us at the Solstice to change the direction of our lives with intention and build on this energy as we enter into the new year.
As a trained facilitator of Ceremonial Cacao, I take you on a personal journey in a safe, sacred space.
Through meditative practices and deep movement. I hold space for each person to feel and let go, bringing in connection to Self, your body and the sacred circle within which you are held.
Ceremonies are open to all genders. We celebrate the harmonious balance between masculine and feminine energy that we all have within.
